6:00 PMProject Control in the Construction of Exploration Place
Larry Pecenka, Boeing
Larry Pecenka will present an overview of the controlling processes utilized in the construction of Exploration Place. Mr. Pecenka was loaned to Exploration Place from Boeing from May 1997 through August 2000. His primary role was acting as the liaison between Exploration Place, the architect, consultants for both building and exhibits, and specialty contractors. Mr. Pecenka’s duties included monitoring quality, cost control, change orders, and schedule.
Mr. Pecenka is a Construction Manager at Boeing overseeing and coordinating with outside contractors in all types of projects and disciplines of construction. He also works part-time as Construction Manager with the Wichita Area Girl Scouts. Mr. Pecenka has over 25 years experience working with general contractors in Kansas and Texas, and has built commercial projects in Kansas, Alabama, Texas, Florida, and Virginia. He has a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Kansas State University.
