Six Sigma Overview
Larry Golka, Cessna
Cessna implemented Six Sigma in 1999 as one of many business improvement tools. At Cessna, Six Sigma is a philosophy that provides a unified business objective. It is a statistical measurement that provides a common measure of effectiveness. Six Sigma uses a structured problem-solving process to make business improvements. Larrys presentation will provide a Six Sigma overview, project guidelines, project expectations, training requirements, and review the 10-step problem-solving process that Cessna adopted.
Larry Golka is a maintenance engineer at the Cessna Aircraft Company. He joined Cessna in 1999 and became involved in Six Sigma in 2000. Larry earned an A.A.S. degree in Electrical Technology from Southeast Community College, a Bachelors in Electrical Technology from Peru State College. He has been a PMP sine 1997 and received his Six Sigma Black Belt in 2001.
