Cox, Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey and Associates
Kenton Cox is a partner with Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey and Associates, a local architectural design firm. The firm was selected to develop the master plan for the Wichita School District Bond Issue. After the Bond Issue passed, they were retained to handle plan management for the work included in the bond. This work will cost $300 million over a five-year period, is divided into 92 projects, and involves 17 architectural firms with construction being done by 20 firms. The work includes both new construction and renovation.
Kenton will review the project, discussing how his firm developed the master plan and how the plan management process works across the matrix of projects and associated firms.
Kenton is a graduate of Kansas State University. He has been working in Wichita for 30 years with Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey and Associates. Other recent projects for the firm include Exploration Place, the Koch Corporate Tower, Derby High School and Eck Stadium. They have developed a specialty in bond issue assistance.
