Reflections of a Project Management and Process Design Career
Steve Smith
Project Manager
MKEC Engineering Consultants

Steve Smith will give an account of some of his experiences as a Project Engineer and Project Manager from his 39 year career in Refinery/Chemical and Process Plants including Air Pollution Control. His management work has spanned projects from small to a budget of $1 billion. He has been a Project Manager since 1981.

His certification include Registered Professional Engineer in Kansas and Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) by AACE. Since 2001, Steve has been a Project Manager at MKEC Engineering Consultants specializing in Refineries, Chemical Plants, Utility Systems, and Process Systems. He is a native of Springfield, MO. Steve has lived in Wichita (with field assignments in NYC, Ontario, Huston, Tulsa, and Dallas) since 1965.
