In today's competitive business environment organizations are looking for ways to increase profits, avoid equipment downtime, reduce the cost of service and repair, optimize the use of assets, and stay compliant with regulatory agencies and regulations. Flint Hills Resources (FHR) has managed these priorities and related Enterprise Asset Maintenance (EAM) in the past with multiple different systems at multiple different facilities. Enterprise Maximo was selected and implemented at FHR to consolidate systems, bring additional process consistency to the enterprise, and to be a platform for continuous improvement in FHR's EAM solutions.

• Gather & consolidate requirements and business processes
• Select an enterprise package
• Carefully manage customizations and historical data conversion
• Manage the software vendor, software consultants, and internal team structure
• Manage the training, rollout and organizational change management
• Manage a multi-phased project and beyond

About the speaker:
Dennis Claussen is an Information Technology (IT) manager at Flint Hills Resources in Wichita, Ks. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Business & Accounting. He also has 15 years of experience in IT Systems Analysis and Project Management at Koch Industries and Flint Hills Resources. Dennis passed the PMP Exam in 1999, and spends the majority of his time managing IT related projects and system integrations.
