Automating a Project Management Methodology with a Software Tool
Matthew Hess, MBA, PMP

Matt Hess will present a project status of how Cessna has approached automating their project management methodology using CA’s Clarity. Several topics will be covered including (but not limited to) our requirements gathering process, the scope of the project, and an overview of the Clarity product.
Matt’s professional career covers the past 10 years. In the last 8 years at Cessna Aircraft, he has served in several roles within IT. More recently, Matt has completed a 30-month Textron Six Sigma assignment as a TSS Black Belt, and has since returned to Cessna IT as a Senior Business Analysis/Program Manager. Currently, Matt supports the Clarity Project as project manager, Cessna’s Globalization efforts by managing the Textron Aerospace de Mexico (TAM) IT Program in Chihuahua, Mexico and the Textron Global Technology Center IT Program in Bangalore, India, and rolling out a Project Management Training Program within Cessna IT. In addition, Matt fuels his Entrepreneurial spirit with several Internet-based businesses/hobbies.
Matt achieved an undergraduate degree at Friends University in eCommerce Management and a Masters in Business Administration from Friends University MBA - Executive Program.
Matt lives in Wichita, KS with his wife, Jessica and their two children. On the weekends and in his spare time, you can find Matt and his family enjoying several outdoor activities -- such as camping, hunting, and fishing.
